A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Tracy Lewis RM Bsc Hons Foundation Certificate in Medical Acupuncture, Certificate In Midwifery Acupuncture, Diploma in Aromatherapy, Baby Massage, Hopi Ear Candling and Reflexology, Certificate in Fire Cupping and Certificate in Pregnancy Massage.

I am a Clinical Healthcare Practitioner who specialises in a range of complementary therapies, aimed at promoting and maintaining good health and well-being.

Since qualifying as a nurse in 1985 and then a midwife, I have gained experience in caring for and developing services for women, including the cancer and cosmetic field.

My private clinic offers medical acupuncture and acupuncture for fertility, anxiety, menopause, pain and much more, acupuncture in pregnancy pregnancy, massage in pregnancy, birth preparation acupuncture, pregnancy post-dates therapy that may help to induce labour and moxibustion for breech presentation. I also offer pampering packages and treatments for mothers to be and new mothers.

Many of my treatments are also suitable for males and females of any age to promote mental and physical wellbeing.

My philosophy is to ensure safe practice of complementary therapies and to offer a service that is available to all.

I am a member of the Nursing Midwifery Council (www.nmc-uk.org) and a member of the Royal College of Midwives (www.rcm.org.uk).

This is Wolverhampton's first affordable acupuncture and wellbeing clinic specialising in pregnancy and new mothers.

I do not aim to replace your primary maternity/obstetric care, but will work in partnership with your midwife and obstetrician to complement and enhance their management of your pregnancy and overall health.

All of my individualized treatments are carefully designed to help you have a happier, more comfortable pregnancy and postnatal period and for those not pregnant address many medical issues and offer a haven of rest and relaxation. PREGNANCY MASSAGE /AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE

Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful choice for prenatal and postnatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness.
This therapy is safe during pregnancy.

MIDWIFERY ACUPUNCTURE

Pregnancy acupuncture has been practiced for centuries and is considered safe. It can be used for a variety of treatments including birth preparation, pregnancy related conditions and management of stress and anxiety.

Acupuncture can help with nausea and vomiting, back pain, SPD and pelvic girdle pain. It can be used for Induction of labour (after 37 weeks), tiredness, insomnia and anaemia.

Postnatal acupuncture can help with your recovery, help you with exhaustion, breast feeding issues and mastitis.

I also teach moxibustion to help correct breech presentation babies (ONLY after 34 weeks).

I offer packages of treatment to assist cervical ripening (to promote labour)weekly acupuncture treatments from 37 weeks .

Evidence shows acupuncture can softened shorten the cervix both needed to instigate labour

Reflexology has many benefits during pregnancy, from addressing stress and anxiety, soothing aches and pains, helping digestive issues and promoting restful sleep to preparing your body for birth.
It is safe for mothers to receive this therapy after 12 weeks.
It is also a wonderful treatment to have after delivery to help restore your body after the birth of your beautiful newborn.

FERTILITY TREATMENTS

We offer two treatments to address fertility concerns, these treatments are: fertility acupuncture and reflexology.
These treatments are available to both males and females.

BIRTH PREPARATION KITS

Each kit is suitable for use after 37 weeks in pregnancy.

Includes specially blended massage oil containing Clary Sage and Lavender mixed with a pregnancy safe base oil.

Clary Sage: allows muscles to relax and ease tension thus charging up contractions. It can also bring about relief from pain and uneasiness.

Lavender: can lessen feelings of anxiety and induce relaxation and release ' feel good hormones'

Pressure Clip: applies pressure to the LI4 acupressure point on your hand. By stimulating this point hormones can be released into the blood stream that are beneficial to aid preparation for labour and is very effective to help in pain management in labour.

CELLUMA LIGHT THERAPY

Celluma light therapy improves cellular health to reduce the signs of ageing and eliminate acne.

CUPPING

Cupping is an ancient therapy that is based on a belief that certain health conditions can be caused by stagnant blood and poor energy through the body. The application of cups draws blood to the affected area to increase blood flow. Which in turn relieves muscle tension, improves circulation and reduces inflammation. These cups can be applied prior to a massage to release tight muscles therefore aiding recovery and it's particularly effective after exercise and sports-related injuries.

ABDOMINAL MASSAGE

Deep abdominal massage or internal organ massage is a wonderful treatment that focuses on the metabolic and energetic functions of the abdomen. Its benefits are endless : relief of constipation and gas, fluid retention, improved detoxification of the body, improved digestive health, better elimination ,increased digestion and metabolism. improved breathing leading to better relaxation, relief from symptoms of IBS and nervous tummy.

A thousand year old treatment. Ear coning or Thermal auricular therapy, can help with the build up of wax, headaches, migraines, tinnitus, sinus pain, improve hearing and for rest and relaxation. This treatment is also ideal in pregnancy and is safe throughout all trimesters.

Having previously had gynae problems and trying to conceive for 6 months decided to visit Tracy for fertility reflexology. The session was amazing, couldn't recommend highly enough!
